About the project
A detailed map of the Panaji City Centre of the scale 1:3500
has been drawn accurately to include every narrow winding alley, cul-de-sac, and structure that makes Panaji the beautiful city it is. The map features five recommended heritage-walks and more than fifty recommended places to visit. The Map also includes a 1:20000 scale Key Map of the entire Panaji City, locating all major landmarks and roads.
Copies of the Panaji Visitors’ Map as compiled by the Charles
Correa Foundation are available at selected bookstores in the city.

About the project
CCF has documented and listed more than 900 heritage
buildings in Panaji which contribute to the historic fabric of the city. We identified these structures through a detailed survey on each individual structure, noting its historic and architectural relevance, along with its contribution to the immediate streetscape. These structures are graded into
Grade I, Grade II (A) and Grade II (B), Grade III and Grade IV with respect to their significance and value, and were assessed by the Town and Country Planning Department, Goa. After the research and documentation stage, CCF created a set of maps and guidelines to document important heritage structures, as well as to serve as regulations for the conservation and renovation of heritage buildings.
